Greens With Garlic

The most nutrient-dense way to get your daily dose of greens is in this ultra simple recipe! There are so many amazing varieties that you can experiment with, like kale or spinach. Try adding different spice blends for extra flavor (or simply enjoy them on their own). If it's wintertime try adding warm spices such as cayenne pepper when making dressings or when summertime brings hot weather add cooling herbs like basil leaves before serving up this delicious dish at parties!

Ingredients

-¼ cup water or vegetable stock
-5 garlic cloves, pressed or minced
-8 cups greens, rinsed and drained well, chopped into 1/2-inch pieces, and tightly packed
-2-3 tablespoons lemon juice
-2 teaspoons rice vinegar
-½ teaspoon lemon zest
-¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
-Sea salt to ground black pepper to taste

Directions

1. Place the water in a large sauté pan or wok over high heat. When the water begins to simmer, add the garlic, and cook for two 2 minutes, stirring frequently.

2. Add the greens, cover, and cook until just tender, about 5 minutes, stirring frequently with tongs. Transfer to a bowl.

3. Place the remaining ingredients in a small bowl and mix well. Add to the greens and stir well before serving.
