How do Mora Circles work?

Meet weekly

You'll join a physician and a group of other patients on the same journey to lose weight and get healthier. The regular cadence will give you ample consultation time with the physician along with support and motivation from the other patients. Sessions are typically 60-90 minutes long — all from the comfort of your own home.

Maintain accountability and expect to build sustainable habits across nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and mental health that fit your lifestyle. Learn how gut health and hormones influence your health and weight, and gain tools to address these, too.

Improve your health

Our expert lifestyle physicians focus on addressing the root causes of your health concerns, empowering your body to heal naturally. You'll be amazed by the rapid progress you can make as your biomarkers improve. Within the first 10 weeks, our physicians may safely reduce or even completely deprescribe medications for conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes.

Personalized medical care and advice

Unlike health coaching programs, Mora only works with value-aligned, licensed physicians (and PAs) to provide care. They are board certified & trained to give personalized medical advice. No generic, one-size-fits-all approach here.

Unlimited messaging and support

Receive unlimited messaging and support from your medical team. They are available 9am - 5pm, Monday through Fridays. For special assistance, we can also setup 1-to-1 physician consultations outside of the group visits.

Our team also remotely monitors and analyzes your health condition(s) via RPM devices and are automatically notified if an intervention is needed.

Remote Patient Monitoring

When you join Mora as a patient, receive a complimentary Fitbit which is yours for the duration of your time with Mora. This allows our medical team to monitor your unique data, and each patient to measure their own success towards better health.

Your physician will order a CGM if this is appropriate for you. Using the CGM, our medical team can track how your blood sugar responds to various foods and lifestyle changes and make personalized recommendations.

Measure frequently

Feel free to take frequent measurements - generally at least once a day. The data is sent wirelessly & securely to our health records system.

Data is monitored

Our medical team vigilantly monitors your data, quickly identifying and addressing any serious situations. They will reach out if needed.

Complimentary with Mora

Insurance typically covers glucometer and monitoring, while the Fitbit Inspire 3 is a complementary tool, to aid your health journey throughout your time with us.

3 changes that will transform your life

Lifestyle medicine have been shown to improve and reverse many health conditions such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. Our focus is on small, impactful changes like these designed to optimize your health.

1. Plant based power

You can lose weight and feel better without losing your love for food. By focusing on whole, unprocessed foods such as vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds, you can nourish your body with a variety of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that fight inflammation and protect your body against damage.

A plant-based way of eating has been linked to improved weight management and digestion, as well as a reduced risk of chronic conditions such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and certain cancers.

Our team has curated a set of healthy and delicious recipes that make losing weight feel good.

2. Daily long walks

Moving more has a multitude of benefits for both your physical and mental well-being. Regular physical activity can help to improve cardiovascular health, strengthen muscles, and increase flexibility.

It can also help to reduce the risk of chronic conditions such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease.

3. Restorative sleep

Getting enough high-quality sleep on a regular basis is an integral part of weight loss and essential for physical and mental well-being. This is because sleep regulates our hunger hormones and helps to repair and restore the body and mind.

Lack of sleep can lead to a variety of health problems, including weight gain, a weakened immune system, poor mental performance, and an increased risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes and heart disease.

Questions

Answers to frequently asked questions by patients who are getting started with Mora.

What is the Mora treatment plan?

We provide patients with a comprehensive treatment plan that includes one-to-one appointments with a dedicated clinician, Mora Circles, Fitbit Remote Patient Monitoring, and our 11-week Weight Loss Masterclass run by the medical team. Alongside one-to-one appointments, you'll join a virtual Mora Circle with up to 10 other patients on a similar health journey.

These weekly meetings, led by a physician or physician assistant, focus on the pillars of lifestyle medicine: whole foods, plant-based diet, restorative sleep, stress management, physical activity, substance control, and positive social connections. Our medical team will also continuously monitor your health data via the data from your Fitbit device. As your health conditions improve, we'll continue to adjust your treatment plan to fit your unique needs. Most patients see improvements in their biomarkers within the first week of working with Mora, and it's even possible to begin deprescribing medications within the first 10 days as the symptoms of your condition normalize. Our Fitbit Remote Patient Monitoring ensures ongoing support and insights into your progress.

What does a visit entail?

During your personalized virtual visit, our board-certified physicians are here to assist with wellness check-ups, in-depth health assessments, or addressing specific medical conditions. Together, we'll explore your health concerns, evaluate your current lifestyle, develop a tailored health plan, and, if needed, order lab tests to ensure comprehensive care tailored to your unique needs.

Each group medical visit will include 60-90 minutes of detailed, comprehensive medical treatment and advice for the group and each individual patient, run by a board-certified physician or physician assistant— all from the comfort of your own home.

You’ll discuss your progress, receive individualized advice from the physician, connect with other patients, and receive a weekly resource guide with simple, actionable advice. You’ll also receive a lifestyle prescription from your physician which consists of small but impactful changes you can make each week.

Your clinician will ask questions to the group and to you individually to learn more about your symptoms, goals and weekly progress. They will work with you to create an actionable, personalized care plan that may include lab testing, alongside weekly lifestyle recommendations.

What are the age restrictions for visits?

At this time, Mora Circles are for patients aged 18 and above.

How long will my visit be?

Your one-to-one physician visit will be 30 minutes long.

Your first Mora Circle is 90 minutes long. This gives everyone the opportunity to introduce themselves, get to know each other, and ask any questions they have. It also gives your medical team time to discuss the treatment plans, get to know everyone individually, and get everyone started on their health journey.

After this, the rest of your Mora Circles run closer to 60 minutes, which gives each patient plenty of time with their medical team.

What kinds of providers are available?

Your licensed, board-certified physicians, and physician assistants, are qualified to deprescribe medication, order lab tests, monitor your RPM data, and assess your symptoms and health condition to create a personalized treatment plan for you.

Combined, they will care for you throughout your time at Mora, and are available to answer any questions you have surrounding your health and plan.
