Deputy Chief Medical Officer

Yashoda Bhaskar, MD, dABLM

Dr. Bhaskar obtained her medical degree in India and completed an Internal Medicine residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2001. She worked as a consultative Internist and Hospitalist for 16 years in the Pacific Northwest, during which time she held several leadership positions and was awarded “Excellence in Clinical Teaching” twice by the Family Practice residency program.

She moved to Hawaii in 2018 and worked at a skilled nursing facility for 2 years. She became Board Certified in Lifestyle Medicine in 2020 and also a Certified Coach and meditation instructor.

She is now the Deputy CMO at Mora Medical (mora.com), conducting shared medical appointments for patients with chronic illnesses, utilizing the pillars of Lifestyle Medicine to help reverse and heal from these diseases.

Personal origin story of plant based

In 2017, I went plant based after watching Forks Over Knives and reading the China Study as well as attending 2 plant based conferences that offered superior evidence of avoiding and reversing chronic illness such as diabetes and heart disease.

What I’m most excited to bring to Mora patients

The empowered feeling that comes with taking charge of one's health. Joining a community of like minded patients on this journey of longevity and optimal living.
